In the world of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, the Tiamat Dragon is a devastatingly powerful 5-headed draconic beast from the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. The Tiamat name originates from an ancient goddess in Mesopotamian mythology. The Mesopotamian ancient goddess is the mother and queen of all evil dragons and a member of the pantheon of Dungeons & Dragons gods. Tiamat roams the D&D realm in search of treasure and is known to swoop down from the sky, grabbing his unsuspected victims with his monstrous claws.
This Advanced D&D monster was introduced to retail in 1985 with the second wave of the LJN toy line. Tiamat is one of the most sought-after collectibles by most modern Advanced Dungeons & Dragons vintage toy collectors and is very hard to find on the current collectors market. The wing tabs are commonly broken due to the age of the collectible; however, they can easily be repaired in many cases for Display purposes. By pulling the center head’s yellow mane, the dragon’s center of its five heads could open its jaw, and the tongue could flicker, simulating animated fire. The other four dragon heads were bendable and could move into several positions. With a push of a button on the dragon’s yellow mane located on his upper back, the arms would then mechanically move inward to an attack or grabbing position.
The evil Tiamat Dragon appeared in the first episode of the popular Saturday morning Dungeons & Dragons animated TV series that aired from 1983 through 1985. Tiamat is one of the first creatures the young exiled team encounters before meeting their new friend and guide, Dungeon Master.
Many LJN Advanced Dungeons & Dragons action Monster Tiamat offered eight points of articulation with the al five necks, tail, and all five heads. The arms and center head featured mechanical movement. The action beasts’ wings are removable and could be inserted into slots on the side of the dragon’s body.

How To Use This Price Guide
MLC = “Mint Loose Condition” This is when the action figure or Vehicle is in excellent condition, and is loose and “complete” with all original accessories, but without the packaging and original included paperwork.
MIB = “Mint in box” This is when the collectible is in excellent condition, and is loose and “complete” with all original accessories and original included paperwork.
MWC = “Mint with Card Back” This is when an action figure os is excellent condition, and is loose and “complete” with all original accessories, however included the original card back fully intact. If the original blister bubble is intact, It can bring additional value depending on the condition of the blister bubble.
MISB = “Mint in Sealed Box” This is when the Collectible is in excellent condition, and is factory sealed and was never opened or used.
MOC = “Mint on card” This Is when the action figure is in excellent condition and is factory sealed and it’s original blister bubble and was never opened or used.
COMPLETE = “Complete” This is when the collectible is 100% complete with all of its accessories. Additional paperwork included with the original package does increase the overall value but does not necessarily consider the item complete
