Produced by Coleco in 1986, the S.A.V.A.G.E. Strike Headquarters was a considerable-size action playset that was designed for use with the Enemy of Rambo’s “The Force Of Freedom” team. This heavily armed S.A.V.A.G.E. base of operations provided a realistic jungle camp backdrop to any child’s imagination. This playset was enormous compared to most other smaller playsets and was very difficult to store due to the large size of the base mold. The set included a large variety of small intricate parts that, once assembled, would resemble a jungle-style military watchtower, coincidentally similar to the P.O.W. camp seen in the Rambo First Blood Part II film.
The S.A.V.A.G.E. Strike Headquarters was filled with crates of weapons and additional firepower. Two Tripod-mounted ground machine guns and several different mounted watchtower guns and accessories provided the headquarters much-needed protection against any strategic attack. An operational command center and working crane lift were also excellent realistic features. By far, the most iconic detail of the playset was the jungle warfare POW-style bamboo-style cage that was also positioned beneath a working bamboo trap door to capture “The Force Of Freedom” team members. This playset has become very hard to find on the current collectors market and is one of the more rare items in the Coleco Rambo The Force Of Freedom” toy series.

Original Packaging
The playset featured one of the series’s best and most action-packed illustrations and is a fan favorite by most collectors. The original product packaging was a rectangular box with corrugated inserts to secure the vehicle. An illustrated adventure scene, logo, and action figure image appeared on the front of the box, while detailed transformation notations were featured on the back. NOTE: Collectors with the original card back offer increased value to the collectible. (M.W.C. = Mint with card) If the card back still has a bubble intact, that also increases the value. If the action figure is factory sealed on the original card (MOC= Mint on card), collectors can obtain the most value from that particular item.
Included Instructions
The included instructions were highly detailed and offered a good amount of assembly. The playset included 66 parts, including the decal sheet, consisting of several small and detailed user-applied stickers. The instruction booklet consisted of eight pages printed in black-and-white with one additional color. Notably, a misprint was labeled on steps one and three, and an addendum rectifying the miss print was included on a loose sheet of half-page paper stapled to the instruction booklet.
Included File Report Card
“We Really Do Care!” A bold customer service message Kenner printed on many of the product paper work included with most of Kenners products. Kenner provided included detailed hand drawn instructions on how to operate the vehicles features and where to apply the included stickers.

How To Use This Price Guide
MLC = “Mint Loose Condition” This is when the action figure or Vehicle is in excellent condition, and is loose and “complete” with all original accessories, but without the packaging and original included paperwork.
MIB = “Mint in box” This is when the collectible is in excellent condition, and is loose and “complete” with all original accessories and original included paperwork.
MWC = “Mint with Card Back” This is when an action figure os is excellent condition, and is loose and “complete” with all original accessories, however included the original card back fully intact. If the original blister bubble is intact, It can bring additional value depending on the condition of the blister bubble.
MISB = “Mint in Sealed Box” This is when the Collectible is in excellent condition, and is factory sealed and was never opened or used.
MOC = “Mint on card” This Is when the action figure is in excellent condition and is factory sealed and it’s original blister bubble and was never opened or used.
COMPLETE = “Complete” This is when the collectible is 100% complete with all of its accessories. Additional paperwork included with the original package does increase the overall value but does not necessarily consider the item complete
