Belloq in Ceremonial Robe

The Adventures of Indiana Jones Action Figure

About This Vintage Toy

Produced by Kenner in 1982, there were 5 total 3.75″ action figures released in series 1. Set as Indy’s rival, Belloq searched for the Ark in the employ of Adolf Hitler. In ceremonial robe, he set his sights on controlling the ancient power of the Ark of the Covenant. The action figure featured 7 points of articulation including the neck, shoulders, hips and both knees. Belloq featured a removable cloth ceremonial robe and sash, plastic ancient ritual necklace, and staff of Ra to summon spirits(though it features a ram’s head instead of the medallion)! Collectors may find discolored cloth robes, bent plastic staves, blemishes and paint removal, and broken thumbs on this figure.

The action figure came with a cloth ceremonial robe, sash, plastic ancient ritual necklace, and staff of Ra. The ceremonial robe wrapped around Belloq with holes for arms and sash to tie around the waist, the necklace molded around his neck, and the staff fit into his hands. The value of the accessories alone is often worth more than the figure itself, depending on the mint condition of the action figure.

The original card back featured a 4 back “collect them all” Advertisement on the back of the card and also displayed additional optional playsets available to purchase. Also, the original series one release displayed a free “mail away” action figure offer which was available with several Kenner proof of purchase. This particular offer for a series one was for a free mail-away version of the Belloq action figure in ceremonial robe. NOTE: Collectors that have the original card back offer increased value to the collectible. (MWC = Mint with card) If the card back still has a bubble intact, that also increases the value. If the action figure is factory sealed on the original card, (MOC= Mint on card) then collectors can obtain the most value from that particular item.
